Andy Postle, a seasoned English freelance sound recordist based in Sydney since 1994, founded AGP Productions (Aust.) Pty Ltd after relocating. Known locally as a "Soundo," Andy is a production professional with extensive experience and technical knowledge gained over two decades in the music, entertainment, and production industries globally.
With a keen interest in the intersection of IT and media production, Andy boasts 20 years of experience in location production sound, mixing and recording across various genres from film and documentaries to television drama and commercials, working in over 25 countries.
Originally from Cambridge, England, where he began his career in London, Andy has a background in finance, sales, and marketing within the IT and travel industries, having worked across Europe. A dual national with a British passport, he has lived in Switzerland and Austria and is well-travelled.
Andy is a valuable asset to any production crew, large or small, leveraging his technical background and sales training to excel in communication and problem-solving. He has a diverse experience in AV design and installations, consulting for clients, and has built an extensive network of industry contacts over the last two decades.
His production credits span commercial TVCs and branded content for multinational companies, global current affairs with BBC, ITN Factual, NBC, ABC America, Dateline, Four Corners, 60 Minutes, and Sunday Night, as well as popular entertainment shows like Who Do You Think You Are? Grand Designs, So You Think You Can Dance? MasterChef, MKR, and House Hunters International.
His drama and film production credits include Water Rats, All Saints, Home and Away, Drop Dead Weird, First Daughter, SOS, Fat Pizza, The Rip Off, and Ship of Songs.
He also holds credits as an associate producer and fixer.
